iOS 8.4.1 patches the TaiG Untethered 8.4 jailbreak, okay, we’ve known that since 8.4.1’s release almost two weeks ago. But what about those of you on iOS 8.4 already jailbroken who are encountering issues? Considering iOS 8.4 is no longer being signed, meaning iOS 8.4.1 is the only restorable version of iOS, does that mean you have to restore to 8.4 without iOS 8.4.1 to wipe everything and start fresh? No, it doesn’t!
How to Restore iOS 8.4 without iOS 8.4.1
Thankfully, for those of you running iOS 8.4 jailbroken with TaiG, you can make use of Saurik’s (the creator of Cydia) utility by the name of Cydia Impactor to wipe all content and reverse your jailbreak. From there, you can jailbreak iOS 8.4 Untethered with TaiG or your freshly “restored” device.
